Poll: Clinton Holds 8 Point Lead Over Trump In Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pennsylvania is leaning blue according to the latest Monmouth University poll.

The poll shows presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump by 8 points in the Keystone State.

Among likely voters 48% currently support Clinton and 40% back Trump. Another 6% intend to vote for Libertarian Gary Johnson and 1% back Jill Stein.

Among black, Hispanic, and Asian Voters, Hillary Clinton holds the lead 90% to Trump's 5%.

Clinton is doing particularly well in the southeastern corner of the state, leading Trump 62% to 29%.

"It looks like Clinton's got a friend in Pennsylvania, particularly in the Philly suburbs," said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.

The same poll also shows that Pennsylvania may pick up a Democratic Senate seat as well.

Challenger Katie McGinty is leading GOP incumbent Pat Toomey 45% to 41%.
