Police: Yough Senior High Coach Posed As Female, Solicited Nude Photos From Teen Boy
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Yough Senior High baseball coach is facing charges after allegedly posing as a female and soliciting nude photos from a 14-year-old student.
Police say Junior Varsity Baseball Coach Casey Gilkey allegedly gave a phone number to the student under the guise it was from a waitress named "Alexis" at a Latrobe restaurant where the team had stopped to eat.
The student told police he texted "Alexis" on the ride home and the next day when his friends suggested asking her for nude pictures. Police say when "Alexis" said she would if he did first, the teen sent a picture of his penis.
Several days later, police say some of the other baseball teammates went to a coach and told them what happened, when the coach told them it was just Gilkey playing a "prank."
Police say Gilkey admitted to posing as "Alexis" and texting the student.
Gilkey faces charges of sexual abuse of children, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and filming sexual acts.
