Police Working To Identify Home Invasion Suspect

BUTLER (KDKA) -- Butler City Police are trying to identify a man suspected in a recent home invasion.

It happened Saturday just before 6 p.m. at a Butler City apartment building.

Police say two men broke into an apartment where a woman and her toddler were staying. One of the culprits reportedly said they would "hit the baby with a baseball bat" if the woman did not stop struggling.

A neighbor came to the woman's assistance and both suspects fled.

One of the suspects was caught on surveillance cameras. He is described as a 6' tall white male with red-brown hair and beard.

Officers say he committed the crime with a 6'3'' light-skinned black male with light brown eyes. That man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black Pirates ball cap. He was also wearing a ski mask and carrying a baseball bat.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call 911.
