Police: Teen Carrying Open Container Of Alcohol Punches Cop In Face

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A 19-year-old was arrested and jailed after police say he punched an officer.

Police in Indiana Borough say Jacob Davis was out on South Street with an open container of alcohol.

Police say when an officer tried to approach him, Davis ran away. But eventually an officer caught up with him – and that's when they say Davis punched the officer in the face.

Davis was then arrested.

He is charged on multiple counts, including underage drinking, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

Officials say Davis is also a current student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He could face punishment from the school, as well.

Davis is currently in the Indiana County Jail.
