Police Standoff In Baldwin Ends Peacefully, Suspect Taken Into Custody

BALDWIN (KDKA) - A suspect was taken into custody following an early morning police standoff in Baldwin.

According to the Baldwin Borough Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 1100 block of Camarta Drive for a reported domestic dispute.

Family members inside the home were able to escape safely and taken to a safe location.

Officers had known of the suspect due to previous incidents and that the adult male had several firearms.

A perimeter was set up around the home and officers attempted to call the suspect out of the house but he refused and the critical incident response team was called.

The team was able to take him into custody without incident and he was transported to the Allegheny County Jail on charges of terroristic threats and harassment.

The Baldwin Borough Police Department is not releasing additional information about the suspect or incident at this time.
