Police Seize 30 Bricks Of Heroin In Homestead

HOMESTEAD (KDKA) – Police seized a significant amount of heroin in Homestead on Monday.

According to police, officers from Homestead and Munhall executed a search warrant at a duplex in the 200-block of East 20th Street.

Once inside, officers found about 30 bricks of heroin on a pool table with other equipment used to process drugs.

The heroin was labeled "Bud Ice," which could be related to the "Theraflu" batch that has killed at least 17 people in the last week.

No arrests were made because no one was home at the time. However, warrants are expected to be issued in the coming days.
