Man Sought In Connection With Beaver Co. Robbery

AMBRIDGE (KDKA)- Police need help in tracking down a violent robber in Beaver County.

Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, a man entered the BP gas station on Merchant Street in Ambridge.

"He proceeded to the back of the store," said Ambridge Police Lieutenant Brian Jameson. "That's where he surprised the clerk who was coming out of the back office. He pushed the clerk forward and stuck a gun in his face."

The whole incident was caught on the store's surveillance system. Police hope the images from those cameras can help them make an arrest.

"He was described as between  5-feet-5-inches and 5-feet-7-inches, thinner build, wearing a heavy brown coat with a fur-lined collar. He had a black hoodie with white lettering and was wearing grey sweatpants," said Lt. Jameson.

The clerk was pushed and had some chest discomfort, but he refused treatment.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of money out of two registers at the store.
