Police Searching For Shadyside Bank Robbery Suspect

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are working to identify and track down a man who robbed a Shadyside bank.

According to a news release, it happened Thursday at 10 a.m. at the First Niagara Bank on Aiken Street.

Investigators say a white man entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. He claimed he had a gun but did not display it.

The suspect put the cash in a grocery bag and ran left on Aiken, then right on Ellsworth Avenue.

The man was described as standing approximately 5'8", weighing 160 pounds and between 40-45 years of age.
