Missing Avalon Man Found Safe

AVALON (KDKA)- A 75-year-old man, who may suffer from dementia, was found safe Wednesday morning.

According to police, Earl Clifford was last seen leaving his home in Avalon around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was wearing a white shirt with blue stripes, black pants and leather shoes. Clifford is 6-feet tall, weights 180 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes. He also wears glasses.

Clifford was found sleeping near the entrance to Snowflake Trail at Riverview Park on the North Side just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say he suffers from dementia-type symptoms as the result of a recent accident.

They believe he may have tried to catch a bus, or is attempting to get to the Garfield area of Pittsburgh.
