Police Request Public's Assistance Searching For Missing Man

SHALER (KDKA) -- The Shaler Township Police Department has requested the public's assistance locating a missing person.

Police say 34-year-old Daniel Smith has been missing since Jan. 16. He was homeless at the time he went missing.

Smith is described as a black man. He's about 5-feet-6-inches tall and 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair with a beard and a mustache.

Smith has several tattoos, including a picture of a dragon on the right side of his chest, the word "HARD" on his left forearm, and the words "Life is" on his right forearm.

Shaler Township Police said Smith has family in Pittsburgh, Shaler, Philadelphia and New Castle but Smith has spent most of the past few years in and around Shaler Township.

Police request anyone that comes into contact with Smith or has information that could lead them to him are urged to contact 911.
