Shot fired at Pittsburgh police detective in Swissvale

SWISSVALE, Pa. (KDKA) - A shot was fired at a Pittsburgh police detective investigating in Swissvale on Wednesday night. 

Pittsburgh police said detectives were in the area of Roslyn Street and Milligan Avenue when a shot was fired shortly before 8 p.m. Allegheny County police said the detectives were in an unmarked police vehicle. 

Police search for shooter who fired at detective in Swissvale

The detective wasn't hit and wasn't injured, police said. 

Several streets were blocked off. Pittsburgh Police said Allegheny County police will take over the investigation.
