Police Release Surveillance Video Of Suspect In Ross Twp. Attempted Robbery

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police in Ross Township have released surveillance video and photos as the search continues for the suspect in an attempted robbery and shooting at a Ross Township business.

A 23-year-old clerk was shot in the back during the Tuesday night hold-up at The Exchange, a music and entertainment store, on McKnight Road.

He was critically injured and is being treated in the intensive care unit at Allegheny General Hospital.

According to police, the suspect was wearing all dark clothing and had his face and hands covered. He was carrying a small, black handgun.

Police describe the suspect as being 5'6" and 5'8" and his black jacket had silver markings and possibly buttons across the front and chest area.

On Wednesday, Ross Township Police said they are working with Monroeville Police in the investigation. There was a robbery recently at The Exchange location in Monroeville and police are investigating to see if it could be the same suspect.
