Police Release New Info On Adams Township Murder

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Investigators are still trying to determine who killed an Adams Township woman, but have released new information about what was found in the house.

It turns out 42-year-old Tara Bouie was shot twice in the head.

Investigators confirm a slug was found near her body.

Police now say her 5-month-old baby was most likely alone with Bouie's body for at least 12 hours.
The baby was found strapped in a car seat, the belt tied in a knot.

Meantime, investigators believe Bouie most likely knew who shot her.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry at the house, nothing was stolen. Police say there was no evidence of drugs, guns or any sign of criminal activity.

"This is a quiet neighborhood," said State Police Lt. Thomas Depovi. "It's a rural, but affluent neighborhood. People work and have jobs and stuff like that. We don't see large amounts of drug activity."

Police still have no suspects, still trying to determine a motive.

Bouie's boyfriend is jailed right now, accused of killing one man and injuring several others – all members of a Pittsburgh motorcycle club.

Police do not know if that crime is connected to this incident.
