Police Probe Fatal East Liberty Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was killed in East Liberty.

It happened around 9:25 p.m. on Broad Street, where a man was shot in the head.

Police say 24-year-old Thomas Johnson, Jr., of East Liberty, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His death has been ruled a homicide.

No word on the shooter.

A few hours later, the neighborhood's "Shot Spotter" system detected 10 gunshots fired nearby.

A glass door and a second floor window were shattered at a house on Blanford Court.
