Police: Man Shoots Armed Men Who Tried To Rob Him At Homewood ATM

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two would-be robbers are in the hospital after coming after a man licensed to carry a firearm.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day in the 7200 block of Kelly Street in Homewood.

When officers arrived, they found that a 42-year-old male was using a bank ATM card when two masked men with guns approached and attempted to rob him.

The victim shot both suspects – one in the leg and the other in the abdomen. Paramedics transported both suspects to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police later reported that both suspects were 16 years old.

The victim was not harmed.
