Police: Man Kills Himself After New Castle Standoff

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) -- A man is dead in New Castle after a standoff with New Castle City Police, following a domestic incident.

The incident started just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday at a home on Marshall Avenue.

Police say Troy Glenn Addy forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's home, put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her. He then left her home, saying he would kill any police officers before killing himself.

Officers then responded to a home in the 1700-block of South Jefferson Street, where Addy had barricaded himself inside.

According to police, officers attempted to negotiate with Addy for several hours before they entered the residence around 10:30 a.m., where they found Addy dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
