Police Make Arrest In Rankin Fatal Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting last week in Rankin.

U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement officials today took Cyrano Morrison into custody in Bellaire, Ohio.

A warrant had been issued for his arrest in the Aug. 12 shooting on Miller Avenue that claimed 35-year-old Donald Jenkins' life.

Morrison is facing charges of criminal homicide, recklessly endangering another person and firearms violations.

Neighbors say the victim, known as D.J., was the boyfriend of a woman who lives on Miller Avenue. Police investigators searched inside and outside the home for evidence, took pictures and talked to neighbors as part of their investigation.

Jenkins was from the North Side.

Morrison is being held in an Ohio jail until he's extradited.
