Police Make Arrest In Fatal Northview Heights Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police say they have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month in Northview Heights.

According to Pittsburgh Police, 19-year-old Paul Kendrick was taken into custody around 2:30 p.m. by West Homestead Police officers.

Kendrick is charged in the death of 21-year-old Maurice Freeman in the early morning hours of Aug. 1 on Hazlett Street.

Freeman was shot in the chest and rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Kendrick is facing criminal homicide and criminal conspiracy charges.
