Police Make Arrest In Deadly New Castle Shooting

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) -- Police in New Castle say they have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at an apartment complex last month.

Antonio Kelly, 28, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is now facing several charges in the death of Andrew Edwards, Jr. at the Crestview Gardens housing complex back on June 20.

The charges include criminal homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, firing into an occupied structure and tampering or fabricating physical evidence.

Edwards was found in the hallway of one of the apartments with numerous gunshot wounds.

Kelly had been living at the Harbor Heights housing complex.

He is now locked up in the Lawrence County Jail on previously filed firearms charges involving an unrelated incident.
