Police Investigating Violent Home Invasion In Mt. Oliver

MT. OLIVER (KDKA)-Police are looking into a violent home invasion in which one man was shot in Mt. Oliver.

It happened around 12:45 a.m. on Monday in the 100 block of Freemont Street.

Police say two men broke into the home and shot a man in the ear. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and released. He is expected to make a full recovery.

A woman called police saying her dad was shot in the ear during the home invasion. It is believed that the woman and another child who was in the home ran to an apartment on Arlington Avenue for safety.

Police called in a K-9 unit to help search a wooded area near the scene for the suspects.

So far, no arrests have been made.
