Police Investigating Non-Fatal Shooting In Elliott

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot in Pittsburgh's Elliott neighborhood Monday morning.

According to the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety, police and paramedics were sent to Chartiers and Lorenz avenues in Elliott around 7:40 a.m. for reports that a man had been shot. At the scene, they found that a 20-year-old man had been shot once. He was sent to Allegheny General Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police say the man was shot in the 1500-block of Crucible Street, then drove himself to Chartiers and Lorenz to get help. Pittsburgh Public Safety assistant public information officer Emily Schaffer says police found shell casings and broken glass on Crucible Street.
