Police Investigating Mt. Washington Bank Robbery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a Mt. Washington bank robbery that occurred Monday afternoon.

The First Niagara Bank, located at 122 Shiloh St. in Mt. Washington, was robbed around 3:20 p.m. Monday.

Police say the suspect is a black male, who was wearing a blue bandana over his face at the robbery. He was armed with a firearm, ordered everyone to get on the ground and demanded money from the tellers. He put the money in a black shoulder bag and left. He was seen running down Sycamore toward Wyoming Street.

Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, officers discovered a cream-colored Chrysler 300 in the 100 block of St. Joseph's Street. Police believe it was the getaway vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
