Police Arrest 3 Men In Connection To Homewood Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police have arrested three men in connection to a shooting that occurred in Homewood early Sunday morning.

According to police, they received a report of multiple shots fired in the 6800-block of Frankstown Avenue around 3 a.m. At the scene, police found an unoccupied vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle in the 6900-block of Frankstown Avenue. The crashed vehicle had been shot multiple times, and police say they found a gun and heroin inside.

Police were then told that two men had gotten out of the vehicle and fled the scene toward N. Murtland Street. One of the men had a gunshot wound to the leg, and the other was uninjured. Police say a 19-year-old man was sent to UPMC Presbyterian in stable condition.

Later, police were told that another man had gone to UPMC Monroeville with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. He was also reported to be in stable condition.

Sunday morning, police arrested 24-year-old Martel Maurice Bryant, 19-year-old Tiere Maddox and 23-year-old Shawn William Taylor.

Bryant, Maddox and Taylor face multiple charges including carrying a firearm without a license and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
