Police Investigating Home Invasion Shooting In Sheraden

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Police are investigating a shooting that took place during a reported home invasion in Sheraden Sunday night.

Police say around 8 p.m., police and paramedics were called to a home in the 3000-block of Glen Mawr Avenue for reports that someone had been shot during a home invasion. When they arrived, however, there was no victim at the scene.

A man, who police say has been identified as the suspect in the home invasion, was found near the intersection of Sherwood Avenue and Bergman Street with multiple gunshot wounds to the leg. Paramedics transported him to Allegheny General Hospital in stable condition, and his arrest is pending.

Police say they have recovered a gun, which they believed was used in this incident.
