Police Investigating Murder-Suicide In Apollo

APOLLO, Pa. (KDKA) — State police are investigating a murder-suicide that happened early Saturday morning in Armstrong County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, it happened around 5:45 a.m. at a home on the corner of Sixth Street and Terrace Avenue in Apollo.

State police say 33-year-old David Lee and 25-year-old David Gaydos got into an argument overnight.

Police believe Lee got a handgun and shot Gaydos twice, then fatally shot himself.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman and a young boy were escorted out of the house.

Neighbors told KDKA that a man lived in the house with his wife and child and another man was staying with them. Neighbors also said that Lee and Gaydos worked together.

The investigation is ongoing.
