Police: Intoxicated Woman Bites Officer Trying To Help

CORRY, Pa. (AP) - Police say an intoxicated Pennsylvania woman bit a police officer's arm after she was found lying on the side of a road.

Caroline Ross was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in Corry. She's aggravated assault, public drunkenness and other offenses.

Police tell the Erie Times-News the 30-year-old Ross became disorderly and combative as they tried to get her medical help.

Ross is jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail pending a Sept. 9 preliminary hearing. Online court records did not list a lawyer to comment the charges.
