Police Identify Woman Caught On Camera Stealing South Side Packages

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A woman caught on camera stealing packages from a South Side home has been identified.

She has been identified as Lisa Carr, 40, of Carrick.

Carr was caught on camera stealing at least two packages from the front porch of a home on South 13th Street.

It all happened while a young child watched her every move from a stroller.

According to Pittsburgh Police, private citizens noticed the woman getting on a Port Authority bus with the child.

Over the weekend, photos of the theft made their way to social media and YouTube around the same time the Brentwood Police Department posted surveillance footage on their Facebook page of a similar crime five hours after the South Side incident.

A young woman with a blue umbrella with white writing swiped parcels from a porch in the 2900-block of Clermont Avenue.

A Facebook user posted surveillance photo of another blond, ponytailed thief making off with boxes from a porch in Carrick.

It is unclear if Carr is connected to the Brentwood and Carrick incidents at this time.
