Police: Homeowner Rips Armed Robbery Suspect's Mask Off During Struggle

FRENCH CREEK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are looking for a man in connection with an attempted armed robbery at a home in Mercer County.

According to police, the incident happened on Blair Lane in French Creek Township early Thursday morning.

A 58-year-old man heard a knock at the door just before 1 a.m. When he answered the door, a masked man forced his way into the home.

The suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the keys to a safe. However, the victim was able to rip the suspect's mask off during a struggle.

As a result, he was able to identify the suspect as 22-year-old Dylan Beach.

Anyone with information about Beach's whereabouts is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer at (724)-662-6162.

Beach is considered to be armed and dangerous.

He will face a list of charges including, burglary, criminal trespass and aggravated assault.
