Snow Plow Drivers Find Woman Dead Inside Of Car On Rt. 40
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A woman was found dead in her car in Fayette County Saturday.
Police say they were called around 8:30 a.m. for a crash on Route 40, near the entrance to Lick Hollow Park in Hopewood.
They say it appeared the car slid into the guardrails.
Police say the car was first discovered by PennDOT snow plow operators and that a woman was dead inside the car.
The woman has been identified as 37-year-old Mya Ann Grady of Uniontown.
Police say she had been shot.
The highway was closed for several hours while police looked for possible evidence.
Investigators describe the woman's death as a criminal homicide.
Mya's aunt, Tamara Grady, also of Uniontown, told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti tonight that her niece may have been driving to work when she was found this morning in her parked car.
Grady, who described herself as devastated by the news of Mya's death, said, "my niece was one of the most loving, friendly people you could ever meet; she didn't smoke, drink, or do drugs."
Besides her four children, the victim's immediate survivors include her parents, and two sisters, and a brother.
