Police Investigating Beechview Bank Robbery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The police are investigating a bank robbery that took place in Beechview Monday afternoon.

Police say the WesBanco bank on Beechview Avenue was robbed shortly before 4 p.m. when a man entered the bank and gave a teller a note demanding money.

According to police, the suspect is described as a black man with a light complexion, about 6-feet tall and weighing around 250 to 300 pounds. He had a clean-shaven face at the time of the robbery. He was last seen wearing a black and white plaid flannel jacket and a black knitted hat.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police also say he arrived and left as a passenger in a four-door white vehicle, possibly a Nissan or a Ford.
