2 Police Cars Crash In Braddock Accident

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two police cars collided in Braddock.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. at Braddock Avenue and Verona Street.

At least two people were transported to the hospital.

Officials say a North Braddock police officer and a Turtle Creek police officer were responding to a call at Lucky Franks Irish Pub on Braddock Avenue when the crash happened. One of the cruisers flipped on to its roof.

"As far as I know, this is just an accident that is bound to happen when you have men and woman that are working hard to protect the public safety," said Braddock Mayor John Fetterman.

Police are investigating.

Also, two cars also collided at a car dealership in Westmoreland County.

It happened just before midnight at the Kenny Chevrolet along Route 56 in Vandergrift.

One person was pinned inside their vehicle. That victim was flown to the hospital.

No word on their condition.
