Lockdown At Langley K-8 School Lifted After Shot Fired Nearby

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Langley K-8 School was placed on lockdown this afternoon after a gun was fired near the building.

Pittsburgh Police say two couples were arguing, and when it became physical, one of the men got a gun and fired a shot into the air.

Students who were outside for afternoon dismissal were brought back into the school as a precaution, and the facility was locked down, Pittsburgh Public School officials say.

It all happened around 2:40 p.m., and the lockdown was lifted around 3:15 p.m.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

The investigation into the incident continues, and not arrests have been made.
