Police Call Off Search After Driver Flees Traffic Stop

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police called off a brief search for a driver who took off from a traffic stop in the Hill District early this morning.

Police say they pulled over a car at Fifth Avenue and Jumonville Street before 4 a.m.

The driver ran away from the scene, and officers and a K9 unit searched the area for about an hour before calling the search off.

There is no indication of why the driver ran away.
