Police Arrest Suspect In Ivy Nightclub Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that left several people injured earlier this month at a nightclub in the Strip District.

According to police, 24-year-old Devon Loveings of Wilkinsburg has been taken into custody and will face charges in the March 1 shooting at Club Ivy.

One person was wounded in the gunfire. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the thigh and finger.

Five other people, four women and one man, were injured by broken glass while trying to leave the club.

Police in the area heard the gunshots and responded to the scene.

When they arrived, police say they saw people leaving through the front doors and even hanging from a second-floor balcony.

Officers recovered the gun at the scene.
