Police Arrest Suspect In Butler Bank Robbery

BUTLER (KDKA) -- Police have made an arrest in a bank robbery that happened Thursday in Butler.

Officers believe Kevin Franklin robbed the NexTier bank on East Diamond Street around 9:30 a.m.

Butler City Schools were reportedly locked down as a precaution.

Friday morning, people called police to report someone who looked like Franklin walking along Picklegate Bridge.

Officers were able to arrest him without incident.

Police also told KDKA that Franklin is a registered sex offender.
