Police Arrest Suspect After Attempted Luring Incident In Port Vue

PORT VUE (KDKA) -- A man is facing a long list of charges after allegedly trying to lure some girls on their way home from school in Port Vue.

The suspect, identified by police as 34-year-old Wesley Alexander, is being charged with unlawful contact with a minor, reckless driving, fleeing and eluding police and receiving stolen property.

Port Vue Police say the girls were walking home from school around 3:20 p.m. when they were approached by the suspect in the 900-block of Wall Avenue.

He allegedly told them, "Come here, I'll show you a good time."

None of the girls were hurt in the incident, and when police arrived they tried to block the suspect in, but he managed to get away.

Authorities set up a perimeter between Lincoln Borough, Glassport and Liberty Borough, and a police K-9 managed to track the suspect to the 1000-block of Lysle Avenue.

That's where police took the man into custody when he came out of a home.
