Police Arrest Man After Pharmacy Robbed

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person is in custody after allegedly trying to rob a Shaler pharmacy.

It happened just after 3:30 p.m. at the Rite Aid in Shaler Plaza, on Butler Street.

Police say 29-year-old Kristopher Brescia passed a note to a pharmacy clerk, saying he had a knife and didn't want to hurt anyone – and also requested narcotics.

Shortly after, a witness called police as Brescia fled the scene.

Police say they found him on Middle Road, not far from the pharmacy.

Brescia is charged on multiple counts, including criminal attempt, robbery, terroristic threats and possession of an instrument of crime.
