Police Arrest Homestead Bank Robbery Suspect Who Claimed To Have Bomb

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Homestead on Tuesday.

According to police, the First Commonwealth Bank in Homestead was robbed just before noon on Tuesday.

The suspect, 23-year-old Jacob Miller, entered the bank carrying a black, square-shaped, hard, cube-type case in which he claimed to have a bomb.

He fled the bank with about $50,000.

Miller was arrested Thursday.

He is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

Miller is facing a list of charges including, robbery, terroristic threats and threatening to use weapons of mass destruction.
