Police Arrest 2 For Pizza Shop Robbery, Probe Connection To Others

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Several people were arrested Sunday as police looked to find the suspects behind a rash of armed burglaries in the city this year.

Two people were arrested Sunday in connection with the robbery of a Domino's pizza shop, during which an employee was shot.

Police say they arrested 23-year-old Robert Paillett Jr. and 21-year-old Dayvon Gandy Sunday, for the armed robbery of the Domino's on Sheridan Avenue.

Authorities say they could be part of more robberies in the city. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 10 armed robberies, primarily in the East End.

"We went to about a dozen locations today, five people were arrested in total," said one official.

Police were questioning the two men Sunday night at major crimes.

Police are continuing to investigate the robberies.
