Pleasant Hills Woman Sentenced For Million Dollar Theft

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Pleasant Hills woman has been sentenced after pleading guilty earlier this year to stealing more than a million dollars.

According to the Allegheny County District Attorney, 45-year-old Michelle Young appeared for sentencing before Judge Kevin Sasinoski on Thursday.

Young worked as a bookkeeper for a local architectural firm, where she stole $1.1 million over a number of years.

She was ordered to spend 11-23 months behind bars, followed by five years of probation.

Young was also sentenced to pay restitution of $1.1 million.
