Welcome Home: Pittsburgh National Youth Boxing Team Returning Home Victorious From Junior Olympics

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A local youth boxing team is returning home to Pittsburgh after competing in the Junior Olympics in Texas.

The Pittsburgh National Youth Boxing team will land at Pittsburgh International Airport just after 7:00 p.m.

Pittsburgh Police, Allegheny County Police, and the Port Authority Police will be on hand to escort them to their gym downtown.

They aren't returning home empty-handed.

Team 412 is coming home with two gold medals and one silver medal.

Delbert "Sonny" Taylor, a 19-year-old, and Micahel "Spoonie" James, a 15-year-old both came home with gold.

Antwoine Dorm Jr., a York, Pa., native who travels with 412 Boxing for competitions, brought home silver.

Boxers from 30 states competed in the national event.

The youth boxing team is part of a non-profit organization and part of the Police Athletic League in Pittsburgh.

They're expected to arrive at 7:10 p.m. and after the escort, they'll celebrate the successful competition at their gym.
