PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered around the area Thursday evening and Thursday night.

After this area moves out, the next wave of showers and storms will move in for Friday, especially during the afternoon hours.

Saturday's rain looks to be spotty, meaning there will be several dry hours to get the weekend started. Rain chances for the weekend ramp up Saturday night and will likely linger into Sunday morning, meaning marathon runners should anticipate, at the very least, a wet course.

We dry up for Monday and Tuesday. While there are several rain chances in the forecast, there are also several days well above average in respects to temperature. This means we will have the recipe for things to grow like crazy, over the next week.
