Pittsburgh Weather: Lower temperatures, humidity make for a pleasant Tuesday
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Aware: Few showers later this afternoon/evening mainly south of I-70.
Alert: None. We're watching Wednesday/Thursday for the potential of severe storm development but right now, it's not looking organized enough to warrant First Alert Weather day. Flash flooding could become a concern in some spots with repeated rounds of rain between tomorrow and Monday.
July is winding down with a nice break in the heat and highs back to a normal, seasonable range in the upper 70s to lower 80s across the tri-state area the rest of the week. Humidity levels will inch back up the next few days as rain chances return.
Today will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine at times with a few showers swinging by to the south this afternoon and evening thanks to a disturbance along the stalled out cold front that dropped south through the area yesterday.
The heaviest rain is south into central and southern West Virginia, but it could push far enough north to bring showers this afternoon/evening to areas as far north as Allegheny County. The farther south you live, the higher your chances of seeing a bit of rain.

Wednesday will bring another disturbance traveling along that front that could touch off some afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms. Parts of our KDKA region are under a "marginal" risk for severe storms (the lowest category), but an organized severe threat doesn't look very promising right now.
Thursday bears watching as well for the chance of a few strong afternoon/evening storms. The bigger picture could be a chance for flash flooding issues tomorrow through Monday in spots as several rounds of rain will pop up through the weekend.
