Woman Arrested After TSA Agents Discover Handgun In Baggage At Pittsburgh International Airport
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Penn Hills woman was arrested after TSA agents discovered a handgun in her carry-on bag at Pittsburgh International Airport.
A TSA officer discovered the unloaded .22 caliber revolver on the security checkpoint's X-ray machine monitor on Friday, May 15, just before 7 a.m.
TSA contacted the Allegheny County Police, who responded to the checkpoint, confiscated the handgun, and detained the woman.
Allegheny County Police arrested 31-year-old Kierra Allen and charged her with firearms not to be carried without a license. They say she did not have a valid concealed weapons permit.
Allen was arraigned, and then released on her own recognizance.
Police say they notified the FBI of the incident.
