Report: Pittsburgh Steelers Will Hold Training Camp At Team Facility, Not At Saint Vincent College

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will not be training in Latrobe this summer.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report that NFL teams must hold summer training camp at their team facilities.

That means the Steelers will now train at their facility on the South Side instead of holding camp at Saint Vincent College.

The Steelers began training at the college in 1967.

Team President Art Rooney II released this statement on Wednesday afternoon, confirming the move:

"We are disappointed for our fans and the city of Latrobe that we will not be able to hold our annual training camp at Saint Vincent College in 2020, but we are adhering to the policies and guidelines set forth from the NFL for teams that travel from their facilities each year.

"We look forward to returning to training camp at Saint Vincent College in 2021."

This year will be the first they are not returning.
