Crews from Pittsburgh Water were seen working at the scene of the break, trying to get the water to stop flowing.

According to Pittsburgh Water, repairs have begun at about 9 a.m., and the break occurred on one of the transmission mains that brings water from the Highland II Reservoir to the Mission Pump Station.

They added that there are no direct service connections on the pipe, and customers are not impacted.

They expect repairs to be completed by 10 p.m.
