Pittsburgh Ranks 3rd In Nation For 'Cat Ladies'

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Are you a single woman living alone? Chances are if you live in Pittsburgh, you also own a cat.

According to a new survey, Pittsburgh ranks number 3 when it comes to single women living alone with at least one cat.

The "Cat Lady" study was done by Nielsen Scarborough and posted in the Seattle Times.

Nearly one in 10 single women in the Steel City live with a cat.

It shows that Portland has the highest number of "Cat Ladies" in the country, followed by Seattle at number 2, and Pittsburgh at number 3.

Harrisburg also made the list, coming in at number 7.

Columbus, Ohio came in at number 8.
