Woman charged with killing man inside home on Pittsburgh's South Side

1 man dead after reported shooting on Pittsburgh's South Side

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman is facing homicide charges after police said a man was shot and killed inside a home on Pittsburgh's South Side at the end of December.  

Police responded to Arlington Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 after someone called 911 about shots fired inside a home.

When police got there, they said officers found a man, identified by the medical examiner as 25-year-old Grant Gibeault, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, police said they arrested 20-year-old Jaelyn Nowlin in connection with the fatal shooting. 

Nowlin is charged with criminal homicide, robbery, carrying a firearm without a license and persons not to possess. She's being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
