Police arrest suspect after man found dead outside Marshall-Shadeland home

Police investigating death in Marshall-Shadeland

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Police have announced an arrest in the death of a man found in Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.

Early on Wednesday morning, they were called to the 2400 block of Sorrell Street after a caller told 911 they saw a man lying unconscious outside of a home. 

Once police arrived, they found the man lying on the ground on the side of the home and one shell casing near him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and has since been identified as Mieko DeVaughn. 

Police announced that 29-year-old Jason Woodall was taken into custody overnight and is facing charges of criminal homicide, firearm violations, and robbery.
