One Person Arrested After Crashing Into Police Vehicle

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- One person is facing charges after crashing into a police vehicle in the Strip District.

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night near the intersection of Railroad Street and 23rd Street.

Police say that an officer was attending to a disabled vehicle on the railroad tracks near Railroad Street.

That's when another vehicle is accused of rear-ending the parked police cruiser that had its emergency lights flashing.

Police arrested the driver of the vehicle that hit the police car. He was identified as 29-year-old Dontel Sayles from McKeesport. He's facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances and reckless driving.
